Justin and Mairi Padgett moved onto the property in 2000, resuscitating a c1927 cabin and building a facility to bring outdoor professionals and enthusiasts together to learn and share. Since then, they have trained tens of thousands of students in outdoor skills and ethics through their school, Landmark Learning.

Cane Creek Holler is the place people come to for class, for camping, and to enjoy the natural southeast.  It is located at the Downstream Campus for Landmark Learning.
